But, what's so special about Earth day?
I personally think that Earth day is everyday in our daily lives. Earth day shouldn't be the only day that we save energy or do some practical environmental friendly activities. April 22, 1970, was chosen for the first Earth Day because it was on a Wednesday, which is said to be the best part of the week to encourage large turnout for environmental rallies held across nations globally. Currently, Earth Day is celebrated every year by more than a billion people in 180 nations around the world. A few main actions should be taken 0n Earth day according to the Earth Day Network - help create a billion acts of green, make the no coal call, and help bring healthy food to our own schools. Together, today people should become an Earth WARRIOR instead of an environmentalist.
